About Tenby
Both a walled coastal town in Pembrokeshire, Wales, on the western side of Carmarthen Bay, and a local government community, Tenby has a rich history.
There are sandy beaches for walking for over two and a half miles (four and a half kilometers) and the Pembrokeshire Coast Path to explore. Other attractions include the Tenby Museum and Art Gallery, the St. Mary’s Church from the 15th century, and the Tudor Merchant’s House, which is owned by the National Trust and dates back to the 15th century.
The offshore monastery of Caldey Island can be reached by boat from Tenby’s harbor. The Palmerston Fort on St. Catherine’s Island dates back to the 19th century, and the island itself is subject to flooding and erosion during high tide.
There is a functioning train station in town. From Cardigan in Ceredigion, you may reach Tenby and the rest of the M4 in around 40 miles by taking the A478 via the A477, the A40, and the A48 (64 km).
