About Edgware
Edgware is a suburb of London, located in the north of the city. Most of Edgware is located within the London Borough of Barnet, but small portions also extend into the boroughs of Harrow and Brent. Edgware has its own commercial hub approximately 15.3 kilometers north-northwest of Charing Cross. Edgware is a typical suburban area located on the city’s outskirts. Located to the east of the original Watling Street in Middlesex County, the historic parish of Edgware is the namesake of the modern-day thoroughfare that leads westward from the heart of London. On a ridge above the gravel and sand that borders Hertfordshire, there is a small, wooded area that the locals enjoy. Burnt Oak, The Hale, Edgwarebury, Canons Park, and a portion of Queensbury are all included.
Edgware is a commercial and residential hub, listed as one of London’s 35 key centers in the London Plan and a Northern line stop. It is home to a bus depot, the Broadwalk Centre, a library, the Edgware Community Hospital, and the brooks Edgware Brook and Deans Brook, which flow into Silk Stream and eventually the River Brent at Brent Reservoir.
There were 76,506 people living in the town as of the 2011 census, and it is divided into five wards throughout the boroughs of Barnet and Harrow.
